Artist: Terry & Sharon Corcoran

Terry Corcoran was born in Dublin, Ireland, and studied there at the National College of Art and Design during the 1960s. He became apprenticed to the Murphy Devitt stained glass studio and designed many windows still extant around Ireland. He has exhibited his paintings and sculptures widely both in Ireland and in the US, where Terry has lived much of his life. His most recent exhibitions in St. Louis include the series “S├Ęte”, “Horizons”, “Formless Form”, and, shown last year at ToFA, “Lacuna”.

Sharon Bangert Corcoran is a native St. Louisan with an MFA from the Writers’ Program at Washington University. From 1996 to 2006 she was artistic director of the Courthouse Arts Center in Tinahely, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. After a long hiatus from poetry writing, Terry challenged her to return to it. Inspired by the theme Water/Fall, she produced the poems seen here.
