The Missouri Plein Air Painters’ Association was established in 1999 by a group of local artists, with the express purpose of furthering the practice and appreciation of plein air painting in Missouri and surrounding regions. All paintings represented by this Association are painted on location, rather than in the studio. The Association relies upon the integrity of the participants to preserve this primary objective.
